Abstract The more concentrated the interest in learning， so the better academic performance. Stimulating interest of professional students in learning can dramatically improve teaching effectiveness. It is a very seriously problem that tackled by many universities. In this paper， the research objects are based on the professional learning about material forming and controlling. The outstanding problem in material science higher education is lack of professional interest. Combined with professional practice， it proposes several views on professional content setting， teaching philosophy and methods to stimulate professional interest in university study.
